Introduction

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is organizing “FOODWORLD INDIA 2010”- the global convention for food business and industry at The Leela Kempinski, Mumbai from November 24-25, 2010. The United Kingdom of Great Britain has agreed to be the partner country for this year’s global convention, and mount a high power business delegation to explore business opportunities in food Processing sector. We have invited Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Food Processing to support this convention.

“FOODWORLD INDIA 2010” will create a platform to bring together global leaders in food processing industry. The global leaders will share their knowledge and vision to accelerate the growth of this sector to increase India’s penetration in global markets.

In addition to U.K, Business delegations from Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France and other regions are expected to participate in this year’s global convention. It would be an excellent opportunity for Indian food businesses to interact with the global food businesses from different countries to explore various opportunities for business and to forge new business alliances.

The two day global convention also proposes to have an exclusive CEOs’ interaction with Hon’ble Minister for Food Processing and senior officials from the Central & State Governments on various policy issues and the way forward for the growth of food business in India.
