ABOUT THE EVENT

FICCI with the support of Ministry of Food Processing Industries is organising the 15th edition of its flagship event in Food Sector, 15th FOODWORLD India 2024 on June 5, 2024, at the India International Convention & Expo Centre, Dwarka, New Delhi. This annual flagship event has been steered by FICCI's Food Processing Committee.

Since its inception in 2005, it has received encouraging support from stakeholders, including all major food sector companies, government officials, visionaries, international experts, and researchers. Over the years, it has evolved into an established forum for originating thoughts for policy formulation and a reflection of the sentiment within the sector.

Over recent years, India has experienced several significant megatrends that are reshaping its society and economy. As India navigates through the confluence of increasing affluence, rising populations, heightened health consciousness, expansive digital reach, and the twin pressures of climate change and geopolitical instability impacting its food systems, the urgency to enhance nutritional outcomes while addressing environmental imperatives has never been more acute. By 2030, significant changes will reshape India's food basket, demanding a thoughtful recalibration of what to produce, how to produce, and how to process and deliver. This transformation will be driven by key enablers such as catalytic financing, landscape-level coalitions, demand stimulation mechanisms, advanced traceability frameworks, and continuous innovation. Recognising this a FICCI-BCG report on the theme future of food and the pivotal role of health, nutrition, and sustainability will be released during the convention.
